I love this shot......its just so powerful...even more so with the matting and b/w. Great stuff :) (Smile) +fav

The ring suspended by a chain, probably the most noticeable of all the elements in the frame, seems to dangle to a point below the center of the image, conveying a gloomier mood in the image. The ring itself tends to resemble a noose, and this resemblence further contributes to the feeling of despair that the photo imparts.

What's even more interesting about this photo is its brighter tones, which seem to ignore the chain and ring's morbid appearance... it's almost like viewing an execution and considering the event a commonplace experience (like vacuuming the floor)

Overall, this is a good shot.

I can count forty fat women in spandex power-walking circles around me as I stare at a deserted baseball field, writing a rap in red pen on the back of a printed e-mail folded twice.

oi, never mind my question on the last one 'is this the tank garage', hehe.

I like the matting you put on this photo and the last, maybe cuz I put it on my own and I think it looks neat :D (Big Grin)

Anyways, I dont get a sense of despair from this, more of a sense of emptiness or lonliness. Kinda like that chain has been in that position ever since the Belgians abandoned the garage. And it has just been empty there since (besides photographers, parties, etc ;) (Wink) ) I like the vine that comes down too.

One of my favorite photos of yours, adding it to my favorites!!
